The Color Crimson

I am the color crimson;
the color of blood,
the color of pain.

I am the color crimson;
the color of passion,
the color of love and pleasure.

I can be hurtful,
and I can be hurt.
I can give pleasure,
and I almost always recieve it.

My life is but
A roaring flow
of all different emotions.

I live my days
filling everyone's thoughts
with simple things
most often unheard.

My world is a dark red,
always feeling what others don't.

When I touch you,
I bring warmth to your soul
with all the love from my heart.

My Crimson flesh,
is for your use,
and anyone elses.

Treat me right,
and you will receive
so much more.

Treat me wrong,
and you will only find
the color Black,
cold and dark
on Winter's nights,
burning and non-trustworthy
on Summer's days.

I will only give you
what you give me.
